Consisting chiefly of photocopies of articles re Willie Lee Buffington and the establishment of Faith Cabin Libraries in South Carolina and Georgia; and a ; and master list of Faith Cabin Libraries locations in South Carolina, [ca. 1961]. Published essays include: "Faith Cabin Libraries: A Study of an Alternative Library Service in the Segregated South, 1932-1960," by Dan R. Lee, 1991; and "Establishing Libraries as Community Centers in the Colored School Sections of the South," a research paper by Earnest Hall Buell, 1937. Transcript of Ted Malone Show radio broadcast, 6 Oct. 1948, re Buffington and his work; 2 scripts for March 1951 Cavalcade of America radio program entitled "Uncle Eury's Dollar," starring Robert Cummings as Buffington; "The Reverend Willie Lee Buffington's Life and Contributions to the Development of Rural Libraries in the South," Atlanta University M.A. thesis by Louise Douglass Carr, 1958.

Ted Malone was a popular radio broadcaster best known for his folksy storytelling and poetry readings. In 1929, he started the program "Between the Bookends" at KMBC in Kansas City. Some of his other radio programs included "Pilgrimage of Poetry" and "American Pilgrimage". He served as a correspondent for ABC during World War II, interviewing soldiers for human interest stories.
